While fireworks are a traditional part of many Independence Day celebrations, residents are reminded that the possession, use, or discharge of fireworks within the community is strictly prohibited and may also violate applicable city ordinances.
Violations may result in penalties, including criminal charges and fines of up to $2,000.
More importantly, fireworks pose a serious risk to people, pets, homes, vehicles, and common areas. With dry summer conditions and homes located in close proximity, a single firework can quickly create a dangerous situation that affects the entire neighborhood.
We encourage residents and their guests to celebrate responsibly by attending authorized public fireworks displays and leaving fireworks to trained professionals. Landlords are encouraged to share this reminder with their tenants.
